Introduction Edit

Introduced in Vengeance in Death as the owner/operator of the Penny Pig and a friend of Roarke's when they were teenagers.

  • He has a mile-wide grin[3] and a wide and ruddy face.[4]

History Edit

  • An old friend of Roarke's whom he hasn't see in fifteen years, more or less (as of 2058).[5]
  • Also friends with Tommy, Shawn, and Jennie.[6]
  • He'd once been thin as a rail and filled with wicked humor - Roarke said he put on a stone or two; perhaps three (14-42 lb [6.35-19.05 kg]).[7]
  • He said his father ran with Patrick Roarke off and on, and did things - all of us did - that weren't right along the clean side of the law. But he said his father wouldn't have murdered a girl.[8]

Interesting Facts Edit

  • Roarke still owed him one hundred pounds from the 'cargo money'. Roarke offered to send him a case of American cigarettes to make up for the hundred pounds.[9]
  • Brian calls Eve 'Lieutenant Darling'.[10]
  • "I've no enchanting woman to warm the sheets with me at the moment ..."[11]
  • He went with Roarke to question Donal Grogin.[12]
  • In Creation in Death, Roarke called Brian with a description of the The Groom's methods and targets. Brian agreed to make some inquiries for him about torturers as he has connections.[13]
