Introduction Edit

  • She first appears on February 16, 2058.[1] When Eve Dallas first meets her she is wearing a "killer red suit" and "three inch heels."[2]

Descriptions Edit

  • Meticulously tailored[3], a woman of quiet and unquestionable taste, and, according to Peabody, simple, classy elegance.[4]
  • She has a cool, perfect smile.[5]

Personality Edit

  • Roarke hired her as his administrative assistant as he was looking for someone who was efficient, tireless, and loyal.[6]

History Edit

  • Daughter Reva Ewing
  • Since Reva was twelve, Caro raised her alone since her husband preferred other women to Caro (c.2039).[7]
  • Before Reva married Blair Bissel, Caro ran a level three search/investigations on him.[8]
  • Caro said that after her husband left them, Caro was devastated, her heart broken and energies scattered. He left them with debts so Caro took a secretarial position, entry level, and did drone work at an advertising agency in the city. About twelve years ago, Roarke took over the company where she worked and, during a meeting, her temper, knowledge, resourcefulness, and usefulness caught his eye. When he asked if she would be interested in becoming his personal assistant, she accepted.[9]

Interesting Facts Edit

  • Caro's full name is Caroline Ewing
  • Caro is the first person to make Eve feel self-conscious about her appearance (since the series begins). "Faced with such quiet magnificence, she tugged self-consciously at her worn leather jacket and wondered if it was time she actually spent money on a haircut rather than hacking away at it herself."[10]
  • Lives in an apartment on the eighteenth floor of a building owned by Roarke.[11]
  • Eve is intimidated by Caro and called her formidable.[12]
  • Part of Caro's duties include assisting in meetings, reviewing contracts, and evaluating personnel. She is also privy to certain details on any project with a Code Red level of sensitivity as Roarke's admin.[13]
  • Her first impression of Eve was that she was fierce, tough, and cold. [14]

Though she doesn't appear, Caro is mentioned in Kindred in Death.[15]
