Introduction Edit

Introduced in Portrait in Death at Dochas when Roarke stops in to check up on the shelter.[4]

Descriptions Edit

  • Caucasian with soft white skin, a pug nose, and rounded cheeks. Her eyes were misty blue and clever.[5]
  • Neat, trim and well-dressed.[6]

History Edit

  • Born: Dublin, Ireland[8]
  • Her father is a solicitor, her mother a doctor, in Dublin.[9]
  • Moira worked on a crisis line in Dublin when Siobhan Brody, Roarke's mother, called; Moira took Siobhan and six-month-old Roarke to a shelter. When Siobhan left the shelter, Moira went to her home and met Patrick Roarke. She was certain he killed Siobhan.[10]

Interesting Facts Edit

  • She has lived in America for thirty years; she moved to New York at the age of 26.[11]
  • She used to work for Carnegie Health Center prior to going to work at Dochas.[12]
  • She has kept track of what Roarke has been doing over the years. She considered him a bad seed, as she saw that he ran much the same as his father. In the last couple of years, she heard other things and reconsidered; when she heard about Dochas, she knew it was time to talk to him.[13]
  • She gave Roarke a small photograph of Siobhan and Roarke taken at the shelter.[14]
  • She likes plenty of cream in her coffee.[15]
